Biltmore has been producing high quality hand-crafted sofas for over 30 years.
We specialize in upholstered custom furniture. Toronto based, what sets our company apart is the way our sofas are constructed. All our frames are made from kiln dried Canadian maple, corner blocked, doweled and screwed. We use a variety of seat suspension systems from the traditional hand-tied web and coil to the innovative high quality European webbing and springing systems.
We carry all the major designer fabric labels as well as our own label, and a full range of high quality leathers.
Our cushions are filled with a variety of materials; down and feather being our most popular for its level of comfort as well as for its durability, and also its biodegradable character. For our clients that like a sofa with little maintenance we offer our high density, high resiliency foams in a variety of compression levels as well as latex foam which is a green product made from the sap of a tree collected in the tropical jungles of Asia and South America.
For our clients that have issues of access into their rooms such as narrow basement and second floor stairwells, we offer the option of making a custom sectional sofa that is fully detachable, where the seat, the back and arms are built separately and they are re-assembled inside the room. This does not compromise the integrity of the frame, as it is made from solid hardwood, nor does make it look any different as it is all done seamlessly.
